Fall Internships 2008

Thank you for your interest in participating in my fall semester intern program, which is designed to give students an opportunity to work in my Washington, D.C. office during the school year.

The program helps interns to learn about the federal legislative process, develop writing skills, and increase communication skills. During the semester, interns will research legislative issues, attend hearings, prepare follow-up memos, assist with constituent services, conduct tours of the Capitol, as well as other legislative and administrative duties. Due to budget constraints, the internship is offered on a volunteer basis only. Full and part-time internships are available. Fall semester class schedules will be taken into account. Our office is interested in interns with all majors and backgrounds. Preference is given to applicants with Arkansas ties.

To be considered for an internship, please complete the application Fall Intern Application and send it with a copy of your resume and three letters of recommendation to my Washington, D.C. via fax (202-228-1371). Please send it to the attention of Emily Hildebrand. A completed application consists of: 1) application, 2) resume and 3) three letters of recommendation.

Again, thank you for your interest. I look forward to hearing from you. Please call Emily Hildebrand at (202) 224-4843 with any other questions.

Sincerely,

Blanche L. Lincoln
