SENATE AGRICULTURE COMMITTEE TO HOLD HEARING ON FINANCIAL REGULATORY REFORM NOVEMBER 18TH

WASHINGTON, DC – Senator Blanche Lincoln (D-AR), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, today announced that the Committee will hold a hearing entitled “Reforming U.S. Financial Market Regulation” on November 18 at 9:30 a.m. in room 106 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building. 

The hearing will examine the U.S. derivatives market and the adequacy of the current regulatory structure to address loopholes that exist under current law.  This will be the first hearing on financial regulatory reform the Committee has held under Chairman Lincoln’s leadership.
