Welcome to my Health Care Resources web page. I hope you will find this information useful.

Arkansans are concerned about our nation’s economy. I believe one of the most important things we can do to help rebuild our economy and right our long-term fiscal imbalance is to fix our broken health care system.

After spending the last several months in Arkansas visiting with thousands of my constituents during my rural health care tour and in town hall meetings, I am convinced that we can achieve health insurance reform that:

·       Is deficit neutral, now and in the future, and curbs health care costs down the road;

·       Allows small businesses, the self-employed, and other individuals to shop for affordable, quality options just like federal employees;

·       Cuts the annual estimated $700 billion in inefficiencies, waste, fraud, and abuse;

·       And changes the way insurance companies do business by requiring coverage of pre-existing conditions and allowing individuals to have coverage even if you lose your job.

I also believe that we can make these necessary reforms without harming those who have health insurance.  My goal has always been to keep what works and make it better.  Creating security and stability for those with insurance must be a priority.  Skyrocketing health care costs are hurting our economy, our families, and our businesses, and the time has come for responsible action.
